Learn - Pitts Muffer Bracket

All Pitts style mufflers need a support bracket!
All Pitts mufflers (except Jtec) need to be supported from the end which is furthest from the exhaust port. Shown in this photo is just one of many methods of attaching the muffler to the torquebox. You can attach the muffler to an engine stand off, the firewall, or anything else. Use a 1/8" thick piece of aluminum barstock or aluminum angle. Use aluminum or steel screws with high temperature silicone glue or high temperature red thread lock. Use one to three screws on the muffler and the mounting surface. Drill and tap 10-32 holes.
