How to use safety wire.

I like this method much more than using zip ties (as shown on photo). The safety wire makes a much more positive connection. Simply take a piece of wire and wrap it around 2 times as shown in photo 1, then clamp on the safety wire pliers as shown in photo 2, then pull on the spinner to spin the wire as shown in photo 3, then clip off using the safety wire pliers as shown in photo 4.

.156" ID For high temperature areas like exiting the muffler.

You can use the yellow tubing up to a few inches of the muffler, then after the last check valve or the "T" where the fuel splits to go to the two exhausts, use the black high temperature tubing. The yellow tubing will melt when in contact with the muffler so use the black on the muffler's smoke nipple. This stuff doesn't last forever, so check it after a year and see that it hasn't become brittle with heat.

Gasoline Tubing

There are 2 sizes available. I think the best is the "Medium" which is made by Tygon. It can be used with all gasoline engines. If you really want some big stuff - then use the "large".

.165" ID LARGE

For up to 150cc engines. This is Tygon. It does get stiff with time, but performs better than the Sullivan product. Gasoline does not plasticize the tubing though it does make Tygon swell slightly. You should change any type of gasoline tubing each year.

For over 100cc engines. This is a Sullivan product which is not Tygon. It does get stiff after a year or so especially when it does not have fuel in it. The fuel acts like a plasticizer to soften it. You should change any type of gasoline tubing each year.
